When you come online and build a website, with the intention of gettingas many visitors as possible to your site in order to make money from your website or in some way use those visitors to gain some kind of attention you rarely get the traffic you thought you were going to get…
Well I’m one of those guys who have driven serious targeted traffic to websites for over 2.5 years now. I’ve had hundreds of thousands of people pass through my sites and given me a good chunk of money. Now they pay me money to show them how I’m doing this because they cannot figure out how to do it themselves. All their attempts at web site traffic promotion is dismal at best, so what I want to do is give you a quick lesson in traffic…
The Power of The Biggest Magnet…
When you think about nails and magnets, you think that the biggest magnet will win (say the biggest website with the most content), but that’s not entirely true. So, on the other hand you have the smaller magnet, which is a little stronger, but is closer to the nail it’s targeting… Those 2 scenarios might actually pull the similar amount of traffic!
#1 – A large but weak magnet could be a spammer for example, who puts “make money ads” on “weight loss forums”…
#2 – A small and targeted magnet is somebody who only focuses on a specific forum and puts a lot of effort into it…
See both will reach traffic, but in various ways. The bigger one will get traffic only because the message is going out to such a large amount of people that sometime someone just has to click on the link or it would be ridiculus.
The second person will not know of any more ways to drive traffic and get stuck working on 1 or 2 methods of promotion. He doesn’t see the big picture that you want to be everywhere with the most value as possible… The best marketer will have the most content in the most strategical places, hands down.
He’s the guy who knows a handful of promotional strategies and puts all his efforts in these areas to create a community and following, that know, like and trust him. Quality, not quanity. Quality first, then quantity!
Of course you want as many visitors as possible, but it’s useless if they are not the type that will like your stuff, PERIOD. Be somebody who they will like. Want to get to know. Be yourself and maybe a little over the top!
Value = Traffic
When I got online the first thing I did was try to spam my website in as many places as possible. I know. Not too smart, and it surely didn’t work! A lot of effort went into placing the same few lines of text into hundreds of websites, only to see a handful of visitors to my sites. It felt like my site was a fart in the middle of space. (Fairly insignificant)
It was not long until I understood that I had to change the way people look at something, and add some value to their life using my websites, content, articles or videos. Any jumbo-mumbo moron can put out an article with some general crap information, but it takes an expert, or at least somebody who cares, to write a GOOD SOLID article, or create GOOD SOLID video. It takes balls to create websites that are worth the time of the visitors… It’s HARD.
But put that extra ounce of VALUE, which means “close the gap between their problem and your final solution”. You want then to somehow be better of just by visiting your site, not blindly promote your product.
The Hidden Traffic Secret They Really Don’t Want You To Know – Seriously!
Until they TRUST YOU, they won’t click your links or even visit your sites. They will absolutely NOT buy anything. Unless you shorten time between rapport with your potential visitor and you, you won’t see much traffic, unfortunately. A link in an article will not get a click if you didn’t make them want what you had, and trust you are the solution to their problem.
Find a fairly high volume keyword, with little competition (less than 20,00). Write a quality article and submit this article to article directories such as ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and many more… It’s all in module 1 of Free Traffic Methods!
