You can’t make any sales or get any adsense clicks without traffic. Before you even begin you must have an end goal in mind, the customer, and the necissary knowledge about them that will allow you to become a valuable asset in their life. You have to give them something, and expect nothing in return. The secret to website traffic is “value” to the customer, or visitor. They come to your site for 1 reason, for their reason, not yours. This means that if you do not focus on THEM, nothing you say will be of too much importance. Although you shouldn’t take this to the utmost extreme either and only speak of “them”, you have to “show proof and state your case” too. They WANT TO LISTEN TO YOU, but they are not, why? Issue of value or trust?

The second thing is trust! They have to trust that you are a valid source of the solution to their problem. This means you need to be of value to THEM, specifically. That doesn’t mean “being the best at what you do”, although that really, really helps. You just want to show them that when you talk, you know what you are talking about. Hopefully you know more than them and they will be intrigued by your success.
